After his childhood dream of becoming a tennis star was shattered, Fredrik Bock’s passion for and interest in music led him to take up the guitar and the lute.

Over the past two decades, Bock has performed early music on string instruments with numerous leading Baroque ensembles and orchestras in Northern Europe, where Concerto Copenhagen and Barokksolistene are his primary ensembles.

Driven by his passion for connecting with fellow musicians and audiences, Bock primarily plays continuo on the theorbo, archlute, and baroque guitar. He also often enjoys playing the charango, a small South American folk instrument that he feels is a perfect fit for Baroque music.

Fredrik is the proud father of three wonderful girls.
