DORMITORY CONCERTS
Intimate concerts at Borch’s College featuring Concerto Copenhagen to mark the 400th anniversary of Ole Borch.
Ole Borch was a true Renaissance man in Baroque-era Denmark and worked as a scholar in fields ranging from philology, history, and botany to medicine. He bequeathed part of his fortune to the establishment of a student residence at 12 Store Kannikestræde in Copenhagen, which we know today as Borchs Kollegium.
Ever since then, the college has served as the setting for student life and everyday community, and this year the college is marking the 400th anniversary of Ole Borch’s birth with a grand celebration on his birthday, April 7.
To mark the occasion, Borchs Kollegium and Concerto Copenhagen invite you to intimate concerts in the college’s atmospheric banquet hall. The concert series consists of three concerts featuring selected musicians from Concerto Copenhagen, each of whom will present programs featuring the music they love most. The concerts will also include talks by individuals who have contributed to this year’s anniversary, and MON purchase cold beverages at the bar.
The concerts are free and are aimed specifically at young people in school, but everyone is welcome.
