KARL AAGE RASMUSSEN: THE FOUR SEASON AFTER VIVALDI

Concerto Copenhagen

Karl Aage Ramussen: The Four Seasons after Vivaldi

- Vivaldi/Ramussen: The Four Seasons after Vivaldi
- Karl Aage Rasmussen: Follia, follia
- Respighi/Rasmussen: Gli Uccelli

This is Vivaldi for the 21st century. Karl Aage Rasmussen has always been eager to explore our experience of time and movement. In these works, written during his time as house composer at Concerto Copenhagen, he bridges cultures and traditions and sheds new light on compositions by Vivaldi and Respighi. A conversation between past and present, between classical compositional music and new discoveries between composers over time.

Reviews:

♥♥♥♥♥ "Crisp, classic madness. It's a great album that I want to listen to many times"
