CO:ZY Baroque x SMK
Co:ZY is an innovative collaboration between SMK and Concerto Copenhagen that invites upper primary school students to explore Baroque art and music in a new way.
SMK and CoCo have collaborated to develop the interdisciplinary project 'Co:ZY Baroque', in which the participants have breathed new life into 300-year-old art. The main purpose of the project is to engage secondary school students in Baroque art and music through interactive workshops with facilitators from SMK and musicians from CoCo. Through various exercises and formats, the workshops create a space where students can actively engage with the music and paintings and thus form their own interpretations of art and the Baroque period.
In the spring of 2022, SMK and CoCo held the first four workshops with four different schools, where it was clear to see and hear that the young students were both inspired and moved by classical music. That is why CoCo has released the music from the workshop and dedicated the album 'Co:ZY Baroque' to the young students.
