Lars Ulrik Mortensen is a Danish harpsichordist, conductor and visionary Artistic Director of Concerto Copenhagen since 1999. In 2007 he received the Léonie Sonning Music Prize as »one of the greatest harpsichordists and Baroque music conductors of our time.«
KRISTIAN BEZUIDENHOUT
GUEST CONDUCTOR
Kristian Bezuidenhout is one of today’s most notable and exciting keyboard artists, equally at home on the fortepiano, harpsichord, and modern piano. Born in South Africa in 1979, he began his studies in Australia, completed them at the Eastman School of Music, and now lives in London.
The star pianist Kristian Bezuidenhout and Concerto Copenhagen offer current interpretations of Mozart and Beethoven through their piano concerts.
MAGNUS FRYKLUND
GUEST CONDUCTOR
Despite his young age, Swedish Magnus Fryklund has conducted a host of Scandinavian symphony orchestras.
Fryklund has been conductor at Malmö Opera, house conductor at Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra, and from 2018-2020 he is assistant conductor at Opéra Orchestre National in Montpellier.
Fryklund has conducted Concerto Copenhagen on several recordings.
FREDRIK FROM
CONCERT MASTER
Violin virtuoso Fredrik From studied at the Gothenburg Academy of Music and the Royal College of Music in London.
He has been concertmaster of Concerto Copenhagen and Göteborg Baroque for many years. He has worked with early music profiles such as Lars Ulrik Mortensen, Alfredo Bernardini, Alexis Kossenko, Jordi Savall and Paul Hillier.
From has recorded Bach's violin concertos and the Brandenburg Concertos, among others.
