CO:ZY Baroque x SMK
Co:ZY is an innovative collaboration between SMK and Concerto Copenhagen that invites upper primary school students to explore Baroque art and music in a new way.
SMK and CoCo have collaborated to develop the interdisciplinary project “Co:ZY Baroque,” in which the participants breathe new life into 300-year-old art. The project’s primary goal is to engage upper-grade students in Baroque art and music through interactive workshops led by instructors from SMK and musicians from CoCo. Through various exercises and formats, the workshops create a space where students can actively engage with the music and paintings, thereby forming their own interpretations of the art and the Baroque era.
In the spring of 2022, SMK and CoCo held the first four workshops with four different schools, where it was clear to see and feel that the young students were both inspired and moved by classical music. That is why CoCo has released the music from the workshops and dedicated the album *Co:ZY Baroque* to these young students.
