BACH'S BRANDENBURG CONCERTOS

Bach's Brandenburg Concertos are so immensely well-known and beloved that MON takes everything for granted: the colors, the virtuosity, the interplay, the exuberant joie de vivre, and the profound seriousness. But when MON hears MON all together, the incredible richness of variation comes into focus, and there is always something new, uplifting, or surprising to discover. Both the stylistic expression and the use of instruments are extremely varied, and they demand true virtuosity from the musicians. That is why a performance of all six concertos in one evening is a rare occurrence.
